Training program (4 hours of lectures):
1) Introduction to Eurocodes. Discussing the structure and key assumptions of the Eurocodes. The basics of designing according to PN-EN 1990.
2) Loads and impacts on bridge structures. Permanent loads according to PN-EN 1991-1-1. Models of movable loads of road bridges according to PN-EN 1991-2. Selected variable impacts on concrete bridges. Combinations of impacts according to PN-EN 1990.
3) Designing concrete bridge spans on the example of part 1. Basics of designing reinforced concrete and prestressed bridge spans according to PN-EN 1992-1-1 and PN-EN 1992-2. Characteristics of materials for the design of bridges. Basic calculations of a prestressed concrete bridge. Checking limit states on the example of a concrete cable girder and a reinforced concrete platform slab.
4) Designing of concrete bridge spans on the example of part 2. Basics of designing reinforced concrete and prestressed bridge spans according to PN-EN 1992-1-1 and PN-EN 1992-2. Characteristics of materials for the design of bridges. Basic calculations of a prestressed concrete bridge.
