Reinforcing steel belongs to the group of building materials that can be easily identified at first glance - this applies primarily to geometric parameters, i.e. diameter and ribbing. However, it should be borne in mind that the task of reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures is to ensure load-bearing capacity, which is why the most important is the identification of steel in terms of meeting the strength and plastic requirements. Mechanical parameters - yield strength, tensile strength and ductility - depend on the type of reinforcing steel used, and their fulfillment by the manufacturer must be confirmed in the certification process, which is the basic condition for release of the product for sale
